The Scope & Requirements

• Mall Storefront Security: Secure a high-traffic retail storefront facing an open shopping mall layout, using a heavy roller door system to close off operations completely overnight.
• Counter & Customer Auditing: Provide full visual monitoring across the front glass display counter, where mall customers line up, view products, and process orders.
• Multi-Zone Surveillance: Eliminate blind spots with a dual-lens approach — a 360-degree panoramic camera combined with high-definition bullet cameras across distinct zones.
• Keyless Access Control: Remove physical key vulnerabilities with a secure access mechanism for the front doors, using smartphone apps and RFID proximity cards for trusted team members.
• Segmented Systems Isolation: Run digital POS registers and smart product scales on a secure, high-performance network, backed by a robust hardware firewall to protect core business data from external threats.

Cabling & Equipment Setup

• Storefront Panoramic View: A centralised overhead 360-degree camera positioned directly above the front counter monitors all customer interactions, the registers, and the roller door line.
• Targeted Bullet Coverage: HD bullet cameras mounted across the back-office rows, internal walkways, and rear preparation areas for full operational auditing.
• Live Monitoring Feed: A dedicated viewport streams raw HD security footage directly onto a local display in the back-office workspace, with near-zero latency.
• Smart Access Deployment: An access hub and reader on the front entry doors let staff unlock instantly using digital wallets or compact RFID key fobs.
• Physical Door Hardware: Fail-Secure with Battery Backup door strikes on main entry door. Client did not need to change the existing mechanical lock as it met NCC Section D3D26 (Egress Compatibility) standards, ensuring free mechanical exit at all times.
• Unified Network Core: All concealed data runs terminate at a centralised back-office server cabinet housing the enterprise gateway firewall, PoE switch, and management console — protecting the POS routing nodes and smart scales.
